Stella

In the heart of Sonoma Valley, Stella has settled into Kenwood as a local gathering place whose approachable sophistication feels continuous with the surrounding landscape. Medium Plenty designed the architecture and interiors around a soft, earthy, tactile palette drawn from the valley’s natural tones, then layered custom details that introduce quiet craft and contrast without tipping into spectacle.

A suspended ceramic basket wall installation by artist Kala Stein supplies texture and movement, fixing the dining room with a gesture that reads contemporary yet site-bound. Paintings by Alex Cole further the art-forward atmosphere. The result is an intimate dining environment oriented toward ease, connection, and a clear sense of place—hospitality interiors that invite lingering rather than performance.

Completed in 2024 under a Hospitality brief covering architecture and interior design, Stella was built with GMH Builders, with consulting by Brodie Group and photography by Jessica Burke. The project shows Medium Plenty’s hospitality approach at neighborhood scale: landscape-derived color, commissioned art as architectural presence, and a room calibrated for community as much as for service. The project is sited in Kenwood, California. Medium Plenty records the project year as 2024.
