Leonora Remodel

Leonora Remodel reworks a 1950s ranch in Woodland Hills, California, for an active young family. Ethan Charles Design expanded and reimagined the house over nine months, with a true primary suite addition setting the pace for the rest of the remodel: unhurried, considered, and built for long-term living.

In the kitchen, custom green cabinetry and organic zellige tile give the room quiet vitality. An integrated appliance garage keeps daily clutter out of view so the cabinetry and tile can carry the visual weight. Material relationships stay tactile—painted millwork against handmade tile—while circulation between cooking, dining, and living remains straightforward for family use.

The primary bath leans softer: a pink palette and carefully chosen tile push the room toward sanctuary rather than pure utility. Across the project, rooms are described as exhaling—spaces that open rather than tighten, supporting the family’s rooted daily life without theatrical gestures.
