5 photosSuncadia flagship for Out West Trading with a sculpted mountainscape partition organizing retail, reading snug, gallery alcove, and wood slatwalls.
Out West Trading’s flagship at Suncadia Social in Suncadia, WA (near Cle Elum), translates a Pacific Northwest brand into a 2,280-square-foot retail interior completed June 2026. Best Practice Architecture used the Cascade Range as both metaphor and organizer: an expansive sculpted mountainscape partition divides active floor from support, shelters a reading snug and art gallery alcove, and does more organizational work than a scenic mural ever could.
Warm wood slatwalls keep merchandising flexible along the perimeter. Scout Lake Construction built the store; Stageplan Inc. and Old Wood Sings supplied custom cabinetry, fixtures, and millwork; Ed Sozinho photographed.
As commercial retail by Best Practice Architecture, Out West Trading shows brand identity made spatial—geography as plan diagram, not wallpaper.

Perimeter wood slatwalls keep merchandising flexible as seasons and inventory change, while the mountainscape partition shelters quieter moments—a reading snug and gallery alcove—inside an otherwise active retail floor. The Cascade Range reads as organizing diagram more than wallpaper, giving the Pacific Northwest brand a spatial signature at Suncadia Social. Custom cabinetry and millwork by Stageplan Inc. and Old Wood Sings support the sculpted centerpiece without cluttering it.
