Silhouette is a private residence renovation in Los Feliz, Los Angeles, by And And And Studio. The project centers on a 1953 house whose mid-century character drew a bi-coastal client making a move to Los Angeles. From the start, the existing structure’s period qualities were treated as something to work with rather than erase.

The studio reworked the layout and introduced landscaped outdoor moments that give the sequence more narrative depth. Entry leads to a living room set slightly recessed in plan, framed by an original sawtooth roof whose long horizontal span ties interior and exterior together. A glass wall opens views to the pool and supports family use for gathering and downtime without turning the house into a closed formal plan.

Finishes are layered throughout, including mint-green bathrooms that push the mid-century reading without treating the renovation as a costume piece. The finished residence keeps older Los Angeles glamour as a reference while clarifying plan, light, and outdoor connection for contemporary residential life in Los Feliz.
