About the Project

Half Moon Bay interior renovation that softens a two-story house with coastal whites, grays, blues, subtle curves, and wood textures.

Blocks from the sand and water of Half Moon Bay, Beach House turns an unremarkable two-story residence into a place of calm and comfort through interior architecture and interior design by Medium Plenty. The renovation leans on a soft, quiet palette of whites, grays, and blues mixed with woods—coastal color handled with restraint rather than theme-park nautical cues.

Sharp edges and angles give way to subtle curves and richer textures, creating rooms that complement artwork and furnishings by female artists and designers. Hues and textures do the architectural work: softening circulation, quieting surfaces, and letting daylight from the coastal setting register gently across the plan. The featured medium of hues and textures keeps the renovation tactile rather than schematic.

Completed in 2020 under a Residential interior architecture and interior design scope, the project is photographed by Suzanna Scott. As a Half Moon Bay remodel, Beach House illustrates Medium Plenty’s interior approach when the exterior envelope stays largely in place—palette, curve, and texture recalibrate daily life toward calm without requiring a ground-up rebuild. The project is sited in Half Moon Bay, California.
