Eastlake Italian restaurant refresh with updated Serafina red-and-green palette, custom brass dividers, and a moody bar that respects thirty years of regulars.

Entering a new decade under new ownership, Serafina—the long-loved Italian restaurant in Seattle, WA—needed a refresh that newcomers would find exciting and regulars would still recognize. Best Practice Architecture completed the 2,500-square-foot interior in February 2020, beginning with an updated “Serafina red and green” palette painted across nearly every surface.

Custom brass features help divide a large, formerly disjointed room, including a dark, moody bar. The design keeps the welcoming “Italian home” ethos that built the restaurant’s following while clarifying circulation and atmosphere. Choice Construction built the project; Pillow Studios collaborated.
