Growing inside Seattle’s Columbia Center, medical-tech company 98point6 asked Best Practice Architecture (design architect) and Marvin Yamaguchi (architect of record) for a 13,000-square-foot workplace completed December 2019. Saturated color islands punctuate a neutral open plan, creating informal gathering zones and private nooks without walls everywhere.

A mother’s room is treated as a sanctuary: wallpaper, lighting, and furniture support working parents, with two bookable private bays divided by velvet curtains and sharing a mini kitchen and fridge. Unimark Construction built the fit-out; Objekts, Lesley Petty Interiors Workroom, and Camden Gardens collaborated.

As workplace interiors by Best Practice Architecture, 98point6 shows how tower offices can hold both density and care—color as wayfinding, softness where it matters.
