Casa Aspetto

Casa Aspetto is a custom San Francisco residence crafted for a couple immersed in the arts and their two young children. Medium Plenty led architecture and interior design with a deliberate embrace of aged materials—warm, textured surfaces chosen to gain richness as they patina, framing what the studio calls “beautiful decay” as a lasting domestic idea rather than a temporary finish strategy.

Facets and material contrast organize the home’s character: surfaces are allowed to show time, while custom plaster, metalwork, and carefully consulted lighting keep the rooms tactile and precise. The project avoids sterile newness in favor of materials that will deepen with family use, aligning aesthetic ambition with the practical life of a household raising children.

Completed in 2023, the Residential project lists Jetton Construction as general contractor, landscape architecture by MFLA / James Munden, metal work by Chris French Metal, lighting consulting by Pritchard Peck, and custom plaster by SAAW. As residential architecture in San Francisco, Casa Aspetto shows Medium Plenty’s interest in material honesty—surfaces that improve with age instead of fighting it.
