Vermont

Vermont is a completed residential renovation on Los Feliz Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles by Studio Murnane. Originally built in 1958 as a mid-century ranch in Vermont Canyon, the roughly 2,300-square-foot house was fully reimagined for a clearer plan, warmer character, and a tighter relationship between architecture and interior finishes throughout the home.

Kitchen and bathrooms were completely reconfigured. Finishes, fixtures, and materials were selected to balance lasting style with cost-conscious detailing. Benjamin Moore Dove Wing paint sets a soft field for marble accents and vintage-inspired lighting. The powder room pairs a custom Calacatta Viola marble sink with checkered marble floors; a guest bath uses zellige shower tile; the primary bath includes a freestanding tub, double vanity, and separate water closet. The kitchen is specified with chef-grade equipment and Arabescato Corchia marble countertops.

Exterior work includes substantial street-facing improvements that echo the refined interior aesthetic.
