5 photosCanyon Courtyard Residence is a contemporary family home designed around a central landscaped courtyard. The project uses a restrained material palette, generous openings, and carefully framed views to create a continuous relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces.
The ground floor brings the kitchen, dining, and living areas together within an open but clearly structured plan. Full-height glazing introduces daylight throughout the interior, while deep overhangs provide shade and reduce direct solar exposure. Private rooms are positioned along the quieter edges of the site.
Natural oak, limestone, textured plaster, and dark metal details establish a warm and balanced architectural language. Rather than treating furniture, lighting, and materials as separate additions, each element was selected as part of the project’s complete spatial system.
Design Concept
The concept explores how a courtyard can become the social and environmental center of a contemporary urban home. Architecture, landscape, materials, and natural light are treated as interconnected elements.
