5 photosVintage | A softer ground for detail
Vintage is the muted caramel-taupe finish in Sumparwood, a proprietary wood-like material for outdoor furniture development. Its quieter colour gives grain, edges and the materials around them room to be noticed.
Colour at the edge
The curved shelf detail shows a soft-toned surface, a rounded boundary and a visible line of lacing. These are useful starting points for a design conversation: how much of the edge should remain visible, and where should a textile or cord meet the frame? Vintage describes a finish direction; it does not imply reclaimed or naturally aged timber.
A layered palette by Michael Lao
In the complete mixed-media work, a painted fan, embroidered fabric and brighter pink, red and metallic accents sit within a quieter frame. The interest comes from their differences in scale and texture. For your own collection, explore Vintage beside a textured fabric, a copper-toned accent or warm stone, choosing companion materials for their intended use.
From detail to setting
The lounger scene expands the palette into a low, horizontal composition with pale upholstery and warm evening light. It is an application reference from the Sumparwood palette. The separate pairing board explores a softer direction through pale surfaces, ceramics and woven cord. These images describe possible relationships; they are not completed-project records or final colour approvals.
Develop your own component
Bring a rail, shelf edge, frame or other component drawing to the workshop. Profile selection, machining, controlled heat-forming and joinery are reviewed around the proposed geometry, construction and exposure.
