7 photosMaple | Light material, a clear outline
Maple is the pale golden finish in Sumparwood, a proprietary wood-like material for outdoor furniture development. It offers a light starting point for a collection, with colour and structure considered together.
See the whole form
The lounge-chair study is shown from the front and rear. From the front, the pale frame surrounds a generous upholstered volume. From behind, the curved back and upright supports become the main subject. Looking at both sides helps a designer decide where the material should remain visible and where the textile should take over.
The chair is an application study for a development conversation. Maple identifies the finish direction, not a wood species or composition. Your team can bring a different silhouette, proportion or upholstery reference into its own brief.
A brighter palette can hold contrast
Michael Lao’s complete mixed-media work places a golden ground beside black and gold fabric, violet accents and branching forms. It opens another way to use a pale finish: as a clear line beside a stronger textile or colour accent. The pairing composition explores a quieter alternative through cream textures and light and dark stone references.
From chair to setting
The poolside seating scene widens the view to a sofa, lounge chairs and a low table. It is an atmospheric application reference from the Sumparwood palette, not a completed-project record. Review the physical finish with your intended fabric and under the light in which the piece will be seen.
