Sumparwood Sample Box

The Sumparwood Sample Box brings the complete four-finish palette into one physical material study. Prepared for architects, designers and outdoor-furniture development teams, it includes Vintage, Black Walnut, Maple and Natural samples, together with the 2026 Sumparwood Lookbook.

Each sample offers a closer view of tone, grain, surface and edge. Placing the finishes together under the same light helps a team compare their individual character and consider how they relate to a project’s stone, metal, textiles or planting palette. The box supports early material selection and discussion before component details and prototypes are developed.

Sumparwood is a proprietary, wood-like outdoor material developed through Boscher Workshop. Subtle colour and grain differences form part of its visual character. Final colour decisions should be made with physical samples in the intended viewing conditions. Suitability for a particular application requires review of the component, construction and exposure.

The gallery opens with a photograph of the physical exhibition Sample Box. The remaining three images are editorial visualizations of the presentation case, four-finish arrangement and Lookbook. The dark sample is labelled Walnut in the photographs; the current finish name is Black Walnut.
