3 photosThis internal Sumparwood lounge-chair study explores the meeting of a pale, rounded frame and integrated upholstery. A generous seat, upholstered inner arms and a broad back give the chair a soft presence, while exposed upright members keep the structure legible.
The front and rear photographs reveal different aspects of the same object. From the front, the upholstered volume leads. From behind, the broad horizontal back and vertical supports create a different rhythm. A small opening below the back separates the upper and lower volumes.
In this study, fabric and foam are fitted into the Sumparwood frame. The construction draws on an indoor-furniture approach and provides a concrete starting point for conversations about softer outdoor-furniture forms. The images document the visible relationship between frame and upholstery. Fabric specifications, filling, attachment details and application requirements need their own review.
Maple names the finish direction of the proprietary wood-like material. The accompanying palette composition explores light and dark tones, textile texture and neighbouring surfaces. It is a separate design reference; the chair’s complete bill of materials is not specified by that image.
This study is presented as internal design development. Furniture designers and brand teams can bring their own proportions and details into discussion, then use physical samples, drawings and representative prototypes to support decisions for a particular application.
