Tone-on-tone brown and minimal connections keep the joinery quiet so the circular language and the overall silhouette stay in front. Comfort and a sculptural outline are the stated aims. Designed by TONG for Lift Loft in 2023, Miro is a dining chair shaped by the recurring geometry of the circle. The design explores circular forms through proportion, material and composition, creating a clear visual language from a deliberately limited set of elements.

A tone on tone brown palette reinforces the chair’s restrained character, while minimal connections allow its geometry to remain visually prominent. Rather than treating comfort and form as separate concerns, Miro brings them together within a compact sculptural composition, using repetition and proportion to define its identity.

Designed in Shanghai, the chair reflects TONG’s approach to furniture and product design through a focused study of geometry, material restraint and sculptural form.
