About

The Corduroy collection brings the warmth of corduroy fabric into ceramics. Vertical grooves travel across the surface, inviting both touch and contemplation. The relief enhances the play of light and shadow, evoking the softness of corduroy in contrast with the firmness of grogged clay.

This series unfolds through three cylindrical bottles, each distinguished by a stepped neck that introduces movement over the sobriety of the body. The ribbed texture flows seamlessly across the surfaces, creating a shared visual language. Together, they form a balanced composition of proportions, while individually they retain their sculptural strength.

The vertical rhythm of the grooves reinforces the calm geometry of the bottles, allowing the surface to act almost like a textile wrapped around the form. As light moves across the relief, the lines generate subtle variations of shadow that animate the otherwise simple volumes. This quiet interaction between texture, proportion and light gives the pieces a restrained but expressive presence, enabling them to function both as individual sculptural objects and as a composed group within a space.
