Medoc

Medoc® Natural Genius is Listone Giordano’s trapezoidal wood floor created by Michele De Lucchi and Philippe Nigro. The plank geometry draws on the tapered silhouette of timber logs and on historical boards that were not squared to waste wood. An imprecise sawn-cut surface—requested by the designers—heightens light relief, tactility, and three-dimensional grain on French Oak.

The Natural Genius Medoc technical sheet classifies the product as a high-end two-layer engineered hardwood with multilayer birch plywood support complying with UNI EN 13489:2018. Published dimensions are widths of 130 mm and 190 mm at a fixed length of 1044 mm, total thickness 12.5 mm, top layer 3.5 mm, and approximate weight 9 kg/m². Installation is glued. Profile: groove on all four sides with interlocking split tongues and bevels on all edges. Top–support gluing meets UNI EN 204 class D4 and JAS Type II requirements.

Colours on the official page include Mirantico Terre di Vigna, Pienza 1405, San Gimignano 1311, Montalcino 1118, Bagno Vignoni 1262, and Erice 1312, achieved with natural oil-based treatments that lend a weathered reading. Mirantico is documented as showing beige-to-charcoal contrasts with grape-pomace hues that evolve toward golden traces in brushed areas.

Medoc is specified where a non-rectangular module and sawn surface are intended to read as architectural timber rather than a conventional strip parquet field.
