About the Project

A built Sumparwood exhibition display brings finish samples, shaped profiles, textiles and furniture-scale applications into one calm, white setting.

Photographed in March 2026, the display is presented as a temporary exhibition environment in Guangzhou. A rounded opening frames the entrance. A compact white counter holds a four-finish sample box, while greenery separates a furnished seating area from the approach.

The interior overview connects this entrance view to the rear material wall. Short profiles and flat samples sit on a long shelf above hanging textile swatches. Different shapes, edges and surfaces can be examined together. The display gives material selection a physical setting, with small references close to furniture forms that establish a different sense of scale.

Seating and tables occupy the central area. Transparent and upholstered surfaces appear beside the material display, allowing relationships between tone, outline and texture to remain visible within the wider space. The photographs record this arrangement without identifying every neighbouring material or assigning a tested specification to a complete assembly.

The sample library provides a second, closer level of viewing. Upright pieces, flat sections and shaped profiles share a quiet background. The textile rail below places soft and rigid references side by side. The separate Sample Box brings Natural, Vintage, Black Walnut and Maple together for a compact finish comparison. These are finish names rather than timber-species declarations.

This case documents the built display and its material presentation. It does not establish construction methods, test performance or a client installation elsewhere. For furniture designers and development teams, the setting illustrates how a conversation can move from a physical finish reference to the proportions and relationships of an object.
