Blevio Table

The Blevio Table is a timeless dining table originally designed in 1930 by Ignazio Gardella and reissued as part of the Heritage Collection by Molteni&C.⁴ The design was conceived for Gardella’s own family residence, Villa Usuelli on Lake Como, and today it is celebrated for its harmonious simplicity, refined geometry, and structural elegance—a clear expression of rationalist design language.⁴

The table’s form features a rectangular top with gently curved ends, supported by two semi-cylindrical vertical bases that emphasize the continuity of the tabletop and create a balanced visual rhythm.⁴ This refined play of curves not only reinforces the sculptural presence of the piece but also contributes to its structural stability, creating a seamless dialogue between form and function.⁹

Originally realized with a copper-coated top, the contemporary edition replaces this with a special metal powder varnish finish that evokes the original material’s artisanal shine while enhancing durability.³ For a more luxurious option, the table is also available with a Breccia Capraia marble top, which inserts elegantly into the supporting structure and adds a classic yet contemporary character.¹
