About

A stackable armchair of steel and moulded plywood, designed for conference rooms, cafes and hotels. The Book Armchair balances robustness and lightness, combining a durable steel base with a seat and backrest formed from a single sheet of veneered plywood.

Its form suits expansive conference layouts, the urban character of cafes and the refined atmosphere of hotels. When not in use, the chairs stack compactly and take up minimal space. Despite the sturdy construction, each chair is light to the touch and easily moved by hand or on a customised trolley.

The steel frame provides lasting durability, while the moulded plywood shell allows the backrest to flex slightly. Seen from behind, the rounded form and open backrest create a graceful silhouette, where form and function meet.

Veneer, a sliced wooden sheet shares the technical limits and possibilities of ordinary paper. The seat and backrest are therefore joined into one unit, much like sheets of paper bound together into a book.
