Flexform is an Italian luxury furniture manufacturer recognized internationally for its refined contemporary living room furniture and timeless Italian design. The company was founded in 1959 in Meda, Italy, by the Galimberti brothers—Romeo, Pietro, and Agostino—within the renowned Brianza furniture district, one of the historic centers of Italian design and craftsmanship. The origins of the brand trace back to an earlier family workshop where the Galimberti family crafted sofas and armchairs using traditional artisan techniques. Over time, this small workshop evolved into an industrial furniture company while preserving its commitment to craftsmanship and high-quality materials. By 1967 the company formally became Flexform S.p.A., expanding production and collaborating with some of the most influential designers of the Italian design movement. Flexform quickly became associated with the emerging culture of Italian modern design, working with architects and designers such as Joe Colombo, Cini Boeri, Rodolfo Bonetto, and later long-time collaborator Antonio Citterio, who coordinated the brand’s collections for decades. These collaborations helped shape a design language defined by elegance, comfort, and understated luxury. Today Flexform is still a family-owned company in its third generation, producing its furniture exclusively in Italy to maintain its “Made in Italy” identity.
