Ana Smud is an Argentine architect based in Buenos Aires, founder of her own architecture studio established in 2010. Her academic background includes graduating with honors from the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Urbanism at the University of Buenos Aires (FADU-UBA), along with international experience at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and professional work in Barcelona. Her practice focuses on residential architecture, interior design, and spatial experimentation, with a strong emphasis on the relationship between interior and exterior environments. Through precise architectural decisions, her work explores light, materiality, and spatial continuity, often using patios, transparency, and layered thresholds to create dynamic living experiences. Alongside her professional work, Ana Smud has maintained a strong academic presence for over 15 years, teaching architecture and leading studios at institutions such as FADU-UBA and Universidad Torcuato Di Tella. Her projects have been widely published in international platforms including Dwell, Dezeen, Domus, and ArchDaily, and she has participated in numerous biennials, conferences, and exhibitions across Latin America and globally.
