Platin

Platin is a wood/aluminium window, patio door, lift-and-slide door, fixed unit and all-glass system by Josko. The system is described with a wall- and glass-flush exterior, with the outside finish aligned to the glass pane. Its sash is bevelled on the room side, and its frames are stated to be more than 12% slimmer than comparable current window systems, reducing the visible frame area and increasing glazing.

Josko makes Platin with local solid wood from sustainable forestry and aluminium on the exterior. The stated wood options are oak, wild oak, spruce and larch from Austrian and neighbouring forests. An in-house wood gluing method is used for the sash to support dimensional stability and avoid visible splitting of wood layers toward the glass. The wood can be brushed to emphasize the annual growth rings, and the colour programme includes finished, glazed, oiled and hand-oiled surfaces. Stainless steel hinges are available for high and heavy door sashes, with a black option also stated.

The window and patio-door range includes patio doors up to 3 meter maximum height, including versions without visible hinges and turn/tilt versions. Thresholds are described as almost barrier-free at 20 or 30 mm. Platin Blue lift-and-slide doors combine solid wood inside with aluminium outside, can carry sashes weighing up to 400 kg, and are factory-assembled with fixed unit and sash together for site handling. FixFrame Platin lift-and-slide doors add frameless all-glass elements, optional hardened leaf-covering enamel glass or an almost flush aluminium frame, corner solutions, drainage shafts, concealed cable guidance for sun shade, insect-screen integration and glass replacement from outside.
